Fifth BD100 Awards return in partnership with ALF Awards

Every year The BD100 takes pride in shining a light on the UK’s top 100 business developers and for its fifth year, will be doing so in partnership with ALF (Media Business Insight), with its ALF Awards providing an expanded platform to recognise and celebrate the crème de la crème of UK business developers.

Nominations for The BD100 went live on 10 October, with submissions closing on 30 November.

The final list will be announced before the end of the year.

The Awards ceremony will take place in London in April 2023 to reveal the BD100 winner and Rising Star, combined with ALF awards, including Best New Business Team, Win of the Year and Best New Business Initiative.

The BD100 was launched to create a community to support and celebrate the profession of business development. Five years on the community has significantly grown and continues to be celebrated annually.

At this year’s awards the first cohort of superstar BDs will be welcomed into The BD100 Hall of Fame, celebrating the individuals who have made it five years running.

Jody Osman, Co-Founder of The BD100 and Group Director of Growth at Propeller Group, explains the ongoing role of the awards: “When we launched The BD100 in 2017, we wanted to unite the industry to provide well deserved – and long overdue – recognition to all the great business developers out there and provide a stage for them to shine.

Attending the ALFIES earlier this year we were impressed and felt it was completely in tune with what we are trying to achieve for the BD community.”

The BD100’s partnership with ALF, an organisation very much in line with what The BD100 is trying to achieve, signifies the start of an exciting new chapter.

This will not only amplify the platform and the community – but also shine a brighter light on the best in the world of business development.

Richard McHardy, Co-Founder of The BD100, said: “When Jody and I judged, attended, and presented at the brilliantly produced inaugural ALF Awards earlier this year, our gut feel told us that The BD100 would happily sit within the awards campaign and programme of events.

“Our communities are intertwined, we celebrate as one, and together we can collaborate to trigger exponential creative growth.

“Fortunately, ALF had similar thoughts and we can’t wait to get started on a unified journey towards 2023.”

Amanda Rosevear, General Manager of ALF Insight, said: “ALF is thrilled to be working with The BD100, and we look forward to celebrating this year’s successes at the ALFIES in 2023.

The BD100 is a fantastic initiative celebrating the great work done in the business development community.

“Our values are closely aligned to support the BD community and highlight the important work, organisations, and individuals that keep our industry moving.

I’m always excited to see The BD100 each year and can’t wait to see The BD100 winner and Rising Star crowned at the ALF awards in April.”
